Importance of Social Media

Throughout my internship, I have learned the importance of social media.

Social media is widely important when it comes to connecting the alumni network and advertising events. Through applications like Instagram and Facebook, alumni from all over the United States are aware of what is happening at Saint Mary's.

Additionally, the social media director posts throwback photos weekly. These posts produce nostalgia for those that experienced the specific events featured. I love reading the comments below each post. It reminds me of the beauty and fun that the Saint Mary's community holds.

Hospitality Hack: Know the ins and outs of social media.

With social media holding such a place in society, it is important to know how use it properly and purposefully. By monitoring the posts, I have learned what posts gain more attention and social media increases connectivity.
