The process of adding meaningful details for the Winemaker Dinner

A major part of what makes an event meaningful is the small details sprinkled in by the host. The Winemaker dinner included many elements that made the tables feel a touch more beautiful. As a host you are tasked with carefully curating a desirable atmosphere, it is the space that helps the entire experience come to life! With this in mind, I was tasked with creating unique place settings. I immediately thought to create name cards and personalized menus. Not only are these special touches pretty, they are a keepsake for guests. By taking a place card home you hold a memory of the beautiful table and conversation. Additionally, the menu reminds guest of the delicious food and wine they joyously indulged in.

To create these special touches, I turned to one my favorite platforms known as Canva. Canva allows the user to make their own graphics, colors and fonts. First, I sourced floral paper from an amazing artist in Berkeley. The paper featured beautiful flowers and olive branches. It felt perfect for the event! Next, I took the finalized guest list and made a name card for their place setting. Additionally, I typed out the menu. This took much patience as their are many details from the chef and winemaker we wanted to include.

Each element turned out perfectly! And not one thing went unnoticed, as suspected many guests took their special cards and menus home with them to cherish the evening forever.
